The beginning of a new year…

School Life

The end of the first semester is fast approaching!

I’ve finally completed my science fair project, which takes a huge weight off my shoulders that has been stressing me out for quite some time.

However, midterms are very soon and that means I need to catch up on notes and work that I’ve been putting off since before the winter break :/

On the bright side, I’m excited and proud to say that my cousin and I are starting a weekly study session in the library so we can be prepared for major tests! Studying is very hard for me to do when there are so many distractions at home so I’m looking forward to hopefully seeing some big improvements and changes in my studying habits. I need to prepare for two AP exams scheduled on the SAME DAY and my cousin needs to study for the SAT and ACT!!!!

What I’ve Been Listening To

“Are You Sure?” by Kris Kross Amsterdam and Conor Maynard ft. Ty Dolla $ign

ONE OK ROCK came out with a new album called Ambitions.

“How Far I’ll Go” from the Moana soundtrack

Ed Sheeran released two singles (“Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill”) off of his upcoming album Divide.

“Bad Things” by MGK and Camila Cabello

Recent Obsession

I’ve started a bullet journal and I love it so much! I bought one that was smaller than I originally wanted but it is still great (:

I use it to keep track of good habits, assignments, and events. It is also a great way to de-stress! I find it relaxing when I’m doodling and writing. It can act as a scrapbook too. It’s very fun to organize shapes and color schemes when planning a layout for the pages.

Sounds Live Feels Live

My experience!!

Let the good times roll

On July 8th, 2016, I had the time of my life!

Sounds Live Feels Live is 5 Seconds of Summer’s (a.k.a. 5SOS) 2016 world tour. It featured a few of their most popular songs and many songs off their latest album Sounds Good Feels Good.

As I waited in line to be let into the venue, I could hear 5SOS practicing a few songs from inside. That was my first time hearing them live and it made my excitement shoot through the roof! It was so hard to picture in my head what it would be like to see them performing in front of me because they’ve always been stuck inside a screen. It was unreal, unbelievable, and I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. I still can’t believe I heard them live!  Continue reading

[La]crossing the line

My story about trying something new!

I challenge you to step out of your comfort zone. In the end, you’ll have a smile on your face (:

Okay, so.. some background info:

I’m not very athletic. at all. It’s not that I refuse to try a sport! And I don’t want to blame it on my parents, but it’s partly my parents’ fault.

Both my parents don’t really consider sports something that is important or a priority. “School comes first,” they always tell me.

As a child, my mom never signed me up for a sports camp/club, so I was never exposed to anything that I could’ve liked or been good at.

Entering high school comes high school sport teams. Participating in a sport brings new friends, skills, and it also looks good for college applications (lol can you relate?).

At this age, almost everyone has been playing a sport (or multiple) for years and have experience. How am I supposed to try out for a team when there are so many other students out there with so much more experience than me????  Continue reading

First blog post

Hello!!

Life is great and all is well. However, everyone has times when things don’t go as planned. All these good and bad moments are important in the end because they make people who they are today.

Here’s a confession.. I don’t have many people to talk to. So, I thought it would be fun to start a blog. This is a place where I can document and share what I’m thinking, feeling, dreaming, seeing, etc.

Hopefully my posts are relatable? or enjoyable? I don’t know but have a good read!
